MOSCOW, March 10. /TASS/. It's time for the European leaders to admit that the Ukrainian narrative has been lost and to come to an agreement with Russia, Lubos Blaha, a member of the European Parliament from Slovakia, told TASS in an interview.

"Every normal statesman today should stop this war. And should cooperate and negotiate with Russia. Every," he said.

He said that if former German Chancellor Willy Brandt or former France’s President Francois Mitterrand had been alive, they would have looked at the battlefield and stopped it all.

But he said that there are no more such politicians. "There are only, you know, these haters, these ideological fanatics," Blaha said. "And that's why the European Union is in such a crisis. <...> And I'm not sure if it will survive."

Blaha believes that Europe should follow US’ suit and suspend military assistance to Ukraine, but "they are not going to do this."

"They [Europe] are the only, I would say, only region in the world, a totally isolated region, which still wants to have a war against Russia," he said.

"They are saying that Russia is isolated. I can't see it. Russia is good friends with China, with Brazil, with India, with Africa, with Asia, with Latin America, with everybody. Suddenly even with the United States. And we are still talking, ‘Oh, they are isolated.’ And what are we? The European Union is isolated. And nobody's talking to us. <...> I hope that there will be a change."

Without common sense

"This is just a tragedy that they are not using common sense. They are using ideology," Blaha said.

"If you are telling them, and I'm doing this very often in the European Parliament, that ‘OK, look at the battlefield, look at the terrain, look there, Russia is winning. We sent $250 billion to Ukraine with money, with weapons, with everything. And they are losing. And you really think that without America you can continue in this? It's impossible. You can hate Russia, if you want, but use your brain."

Blaha said that EC politicians believe that "Russia is monster because they don't like gays. They have these family values. They are a traditional society" and this is why you allegedly "need to hate them". "This is the reason why they hate Russia so much. Because you are normal. You are normal like Slovaks. In Slovakia, we have a normal family. I have three children. I have a wife in Brussels. You say that you are conservative monster. You need to be gay. You need to have no children. The best option is to have 75 genders."

This is why, he said, "we need to wage the war forever. It's a kind of crusade. It's an ideological crusade of Brussels and its neoliberals and progressivists in Brussels.".
