No signs of resumption of US assistance to Ukraine — TV
According to the diplomatic sources, US President Donald Trump may want more than just a minerals deal with Ukraine
NEW YORK, March 10. /TASS/. There is currently no sign of a resumption of US military and intelligence assistance to Ukraine, CBS News reported, citing diplomatic sources.
According to them, US President Donald Trump may want more than just a minerals deal with Ukraine "but his specific terms for restarting aid remain murky."
On March 3, Trump wrote on Truth Social that Vladimir Zelensky’s remark about the conflict being far from over was "the worst statement that could have been made." Later, Washington suspended military assistance to Kiev. In an address to the US Congress on March 4, Trump said that he had received a letter from Zelensky about Kiev’s readiness for talks on a peaceful solution to the Ukraine conflict. Zelensky’s spokesman Sergey Nikiforov said that Trump must have referred to a social media post when he was talking about the letter. Zelensky particularly expressed readiness to sign a minerals deal with the US at any time, which, according to Washington, is crucial for the resumption of US weapons supplies.
