"Biden has authorized more money in this fight than Europe has spent by billions and billions of dollars," the US president emphasized

WASHINGTON, March 5. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump compared the ease with which his predecessor Joe Biden was persuaded to part with colossal US budget funds to provide military aid to Ukraine to the ease of taking candy away from a baby.

"We’ve spent perhaps $350 billion, like taking candy from a baby. That’s what happened. And they [European politicians] have spent $100 billion. What a difference that is," the US leader told Congress. "And we [the US] have an ocean separating us [from Russia and Ukraine], and they [Europe] don’t," Trump pointed out.

"Biden has authorized more money in this fight than Europe has spent by billions and billions of dollars. It’s hard to believe that they (the previous authorities in Washington - TASS) wouldn’t have stopped it at some point. Come on, let’s equalize. You [Europe] have got to be equal to us. That didn’t happen," Trump emphasized.
