Zelensky made last visit to US, from now on Kiev to be represented by military — Kneissl
According to Karin Kneissl, "from a purely legal point of view, Zelensky is no longer president since last May"
MOSCOW, March 3. /TASS/. Vladimir Zelensky made his last visit to Washington last week; now Kiev will be represented by a military delegation at the next stages of the talks, Karin Kneissl, former Austrian foreign minister and head of the Geopolitical Observatory for Russia’s Key Issues (GORKI), a research center at St. Petersburg State University, told TASS.
"My feeling is that this was Zelensky's last visit to Washington," she said. Kneissl recalled that earlier there was a vote in the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian parliament - TASS), which the head of the Kiev regime "actually lost."
According to her, "from a purely legal point of view, Zelensky is no longer president since last May." "According to the Ukrainian constitution, his mandate has passed to the speaker of parliament. He no longer has the support of the parliament," she emphasized.
"I assume that in the next stage of negotiations Ukraine will be represented by the military. A new Ukrainian government will not be formed so quickly," Kneissl said. She added that "now we are talking about a lot of technical issues, first of all military issues, and in the first stage they will be solved by military representatives."
On February 28, Zelensky arrived at the White House for a meeting with US President Donald Trump. During the conversation in the presence of journalists, an argument broke out between them, during which Trump pointed out Zelensky's disrespectful attitude towards the United States, and US Vice President JD Vance emphasized Zelensky's ungratefulness to Washington for the support provided to Kiev. The press conference following their meeting was canceled, and the signing of a US-Ukraine mineral deal did not take place. Trump later posted a statement on his Truth Social page emphasizing that Zelensky was disrespectful and unprepared for a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.
