TEL AVIV, March 2. /TASS/. The Israeli Air Force carried out an air strike on the northern Gaza Strip "to eliminate a threat", the army's press service reported.

"Earlier on Sunday, several suspicious individuals were operating near IDF forces in the northern Gaza Strip and were seen planting an explosive device in the area. In order to eliminate this threat, the Israel Air Force carried out an airstrike against the suspicious individuals," the statement said.

"The IDF will continue to operate in order to eliminate any threat to the citizens of the State of Israel and IDF troops," the military added.
