Zelensky's visit to US tentatively set for February 28
The Ukrainian president also confirmed that he expects to travel to the UK
MOSCOW, February 26. /TASS/. Vladimir Zelensky confirmed that preparations are underway for his visit to the United States, and said that February 28 was the "working date" for his meeting with US President Donald Trump.
"About the visit. The visit was proposed to us. But I want to get [information] about the format and timing. The offices are working on it. There is a working date. As the US president said, on Friday. I have an important question. I really want the visit," Zelensky told local journalists.
He also confirmed that he expects to travel to the UK.
"After the United States, if I go, let's see, I plan to go to London, <...> and we will meet with the Europeans there at [the British Prime Minister] Keir Starmer’s," he said.
On February 25, Trump said that Zelensky could come to Washington on February 28 to sign the minerals deal. On February 25, Starmer said that a meeting of European leaders would be held in London this weekend to discuss the Ukrainian conflict.
