Top Ukrainian military commander says UK ready to persist supporting Kiev
According to Alexander Syrsky, the sides also discussed Ukraine's needs for weapons, military equipment, ammunition, money, and personnel training
MOSCOW, February 26. /TASS/. Ukraine's top military commander Alexander Syrsky said he had received confirmation from UK Chief of the Defense Staff Admiral Antony Radakin of London's willingness to continue supporting Kiev and providing military assistance to the Ukrainian military.
Syrsky said on his Facebook (a social media platform banned in Russia since it is owned by Meta corporation deemed extremist by the Russian authorities) that he had a video conference call with Radakin and thanked the British defense official for the 150 million ($185.8 million) worth of military aid provided in February, which included air defense systems, armored vehicles, and artillery guns. Syrsky also shared his assessment of the situation on the front line and ways to strengthen the Ukrainian armed forces and improve their efficiency. According to the top Ukrainian military commander, the sides also discussed Ukraine's needs for weapons, military equipment, ammunition, money, and personnel training.
"I’ve received confirmation from the UK Chief of the Defense Staff of the readiness of the British side to continue supporting Ukraine’s independence and territorial integrity. Admiral Antony Radakin reaffirmed the UK’s commitment to continue providing military assistance to the Ukrainian armed forces," he said.
