DOHA, February 26. /TASS/. Qatar's Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani intends to visit Russia on April 17, he told Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, a TASS correspondent reports.

Lavrov conveyed greetings from Russian President Vladimir Putin to the emir and said that Moscow is looking forward to his visit.

"I hope [to come to Russia] on April 17," the emir said.

Before the visit to Doha, Lavrov had visited Turkey and Iran.
