TUNIS, February 19. /TASS/. The Palestinian radical organization Islamic Jihad has decided to hand over to Israel on February 20 the body of another hostage held in the Gaza Strip and killed in an air strike, the organization’s militant wing, the Saraya al-Quds group, has said on its Telegram channel.

According to the statement, the radicals will hand over to Israel "the remains of Israeli hostage Oded Lifshitz" as part of the seventh group of the first phase of the exchange deal. Lifshitz was reportedly killed in Israeli airstrikes.

On February 18, the Hamas leader in Gaza, Khalil al-Hayya said that the Palestinian movement would hand over to Israel on February 20 the bodies of four hostages, including members of the Bibas family, and on Saturday, February 22, would free six live captives to be released in the first phase of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

On January 15, it became known that Israel and Hamas had reached an agreement on the release of hostages held in Gaza and the implementation of a ceasefire in the enclave. The agreement, which includes three stages, entered into force on January 19. According to the agreements, the implementation of the first phase of the deal will last 42 days, during which time Hamas must release at least 33 Israeli hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails. So far, 19 hostages have returned to Israel.
