The Chinese Foreign Ministry made no comment on The Wall Street Journal’s reports about an alleged proposal by the Chinese side to host a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US leader Donald Trump in the country, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Guo Jiakun said at a briefing.

"As of now, I have no information to share," the Chinese foreign ministry spokesman said.

Earlier, The Wall Street Journal quoted sources as saying that China had sent a proposal to the US administration to hold a meeting between the Russian and US presidents.
