According to Israel Defense Forces serviceman Asher Fredman, when patrolling a village in Lebanon he found "sniper rifles, anti-tank missiles and explosives alongside the care packages marked ‘USAID’"
NEW YORK, February 11. /TASS/. Humanitarian supplies from the USAID have been found in an arms depot of the Shia Hezbollah movement, The New York Post reported on Monday, citing retired Israel Defense Forces serviceman Asher Fredman.
According to him, when patrolling a village in Lebanon, where a Hezbollah stronghold was located, he found "sniper rifles, anti-tank missiles and explosives alongside the care packages marked ‘USAID.’"
Earlier, Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya said that Moscow’s remarks that the US Agency for International Development (USAID) financed radical groups all over the world proved to be true.
On February 3, the USAID activities were effectively suspended. By US President Donald Trump’s decision, Secretary of State Marco Rubio was appointed as the body’s interim head. Organizational conclusions regarding the USAID were made at the suggestion of US entrepreneur Elon Musk, whom Trump had previously appointed to lead the new agency aimed at increasing the efficiency of the US government, reducing the inflated state structure, and combating bureaucracy. Trump described the activities of the USAID as fraudulent and corrupt.
