NEW YORK, February 9. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump has stated that he would prefer to conclude a deal with Iran instead of launching a military operation.

"I would like a deal done with Iran on non-nuclear. I would prefer that to bombing the hell out of it," he said in an interview with the New York Post (NYP).

According to him, such a deal is feasible and Israel will not attack Iran. However, Trump refused to divulge any details of potential talks. "I’d tell them I’d make a deal," the US leader said. "In a way, I don’t like telling you what I’m going to tell them. You know, it’s not nice," he explained. "I won’t bomb them," Trump added.

"I could tell what I have to tell them, and I hope they decide that they’re not going to do what they’re currently thinking of doing. And I think they’ll really be happy," the US president concluded.
