Israel will bring all hostages back, and Hamas ‘will not be there,’ PM says
Meanwhile, the Ynet media outlet reported that Benjamin Netanyahu had handed down instructions to send an Israeli delegation to Qatar to discuss further details of the Gaza ceasefire agreement
TEL AVIV, February 8. /TASS/. Israel will do everything possible to bring all the hostages held in Gaza back home, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a video address to the nation.
"We will do everything to return all our hostages," Netanyahu said, adding that US President Donald Trump "fully agrees" that Israel "will make every effort to bring all hostages back and Hamas will not be there."
The Israeli premier noted that earlier on Saturday, when three hostages had been handed over to the Red Cross in Gaza, "we once again saw the Hamas monsters." "They are the same monsters that slaughtered Israeli citizens and tortured the hostages, and I once again tell them that they will pay the price," Netanyahu said. He also stressed that he had instructed Israeli negotiators "to tell this to the mediators."
Earlier on Saturday, the prime minister’s office said that Israel would respond to the "horrible footage" of the February 8 handover of hostages to the Red Cross, which had demonstrated the poor state the Israeli citizens were in.
Meanwhile, the Ynet media outlet reported, citing sources, that Netanyahu had handed down instructions to send an Israeli delegation to Qatar to discuss further details of the Gaza ceasefire agreement.
