Israeli Chief of General Staff, US CENTCOM commander discuss military cooperation

The IDF stressed that it considers cooperation with the US military "to be of great importance and significance"

TEL AVIV, February 7. /TASS/. Military cooperation and ways to thwart regional threats were the focus of talks between Israeli Chief of the General Staff Herzi Halevi and visiting US Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander Michael Kurilla, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said.

According to the IDF, Kurilla arrived in Israel on Wednesday as Halevi’s official guest. "During the visit, the commanders held a discussion with senior IDF officers, focusing on the regional strategic situational assessment and examining courses of action to continue addressing threats in the Middle East through military cooperation," it said. "Additionally, they discussed various possible scenarios on both near and distant fronts, aiming to enhance operational readiness for any development."

The IDF stressed that it considers cooperation with the US military "to be of great importance and significance."
