Kiev’s chances of getting nuclear weapons 'slim and none' — Trump’s special envoy
According to Keith Kellogg, the idea of arming the Kiev government with nuclear weapons is a non-starter
NEW YORK, February 6. /TASS/. The Kiev government’s chances of getting nuclear weapons are "between slim and none," Keith Kellogg, the US president’s special envoy to Ukraine and Russia, has told Fox News.
"The chance of them getting their nuclear weapons back is somewhere between slim and none," he said. "Let's be honest about it, we both know that's not going to happen."
In his words, the idea of arming the Kiev government with nuclear weapons is a non-starter.
"Remember, the president said we're a government of common sense," Kellogg said. "When somebody says something like that, look at the outcome or the potential. That's using your common sense."
Earlier this week, Vladimir Zelensky said the West must give Ukraine nuclear weapons and deploy its troops on the country’s territory if it is not yet ready to grant NATO membership to Kiev.
