WASHINGTON, February 3. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump has confirmed a one month suspension of tariffs on US imports from Mexico.

We further agreed to immediately pause the anticipated tariffs for a one-month period," Trump wrote on Truth Social social network.

"I look forward to participating in those negotiations with [Mexican] President [Claudia] Sheinbaum, as we attempt to achieve a "deal" between our two Countries," Trump noted.

According to him, Sheinbaum has agreed to the deployment of 10,000 Mexican troops on the US border to tighten the fight against illegal immigration and drug trafficking.
