TEL AVIV, January 23. /TASS/. Two Palestinian radicals have been eliminated by the Israeli military near the city of Jenin in the West Bank, The Times of Israel reported.

According to the newspaper, the Israeli military engaged in a four-hour shootout with the militants.

The Israel Defense Forces said earlier that the Israeli military had launched a large-scale counter-terrorist operation, codenamed Iron Wall, in Jenin. The Times of Israel said, citing its sources, that the operation is expected to last for several days. The operation kicked off with drone strikes on infrastructure facilities in Jenin that are used by local armed groups, the source said.
