ISTANBUL, December 25. /TASS/. Turkish Justice Minister Yilmaz Tunc said that 10 people were detained as part of an investigation into a blast at an explosives factory in the town of Balikesir in western Turkey.
"Those guilty of the incident will be established following an investigation. At this time, 10 people have been detained within the framework of the investigation," TRT Haber quoted him as saying.
According to Tunc, authorities are conducting a comprehensive investigation into the causes of the explosion which killed 11 people and injured eight.
The blast occurred on the morning of December 25 along the line producing primers. The building of the enterprise was almost completely destroyed. Criminal charges have been filed over the incident.
