BUCHAREST, December 25. /TASS/. Romania's Defense Ministry has denied reports that a Russian missile crossed the country’s airspace.

"The Romanian military authorities have been informed by Ukrainian [military authorities] that at around 7:30 am [8:30 am Moscow time, 5:30 am GMT] a Russian missile that hit the Chernovtsy Region, Ukraine, had crossed the airspace of the Republic of Moldova and for about two minutes stayed in the airspace of Romania, in the north of the country near the locality of Darabani," the Defense Ministry said in a statement.

"Based on the monitoring data of Romania's air surveillance systems and the data provided by NATO countries, which complement the monitoring in Romania's area of responsibility, no crossing of the Romanian airspace was confirmed," the message reads. "The Defense Ministry will continue to study this situation to clarify all circumstances."
