Ukraine’s General Staff reports tense frontline situation
The most difficult situation for Ukrainian troops is observed in the Krasnoarmeisk (Pokrovsk), Kurakhovo and Vremevka frontline areas
MOSCOW, December 25. /TASS/. The frontline situation remains tense for Ukrainian armed forces, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on Wednesday.
"The frontline situation remains tense," Ukraine’s General Staff said on its Telegram channel.
The most difficult situation for Ukrainian troops is observed in the Krasnoarmeisk (Pokrovsk), Kurakhovo and Vremevka frontline areas. The Ukrainian army is also significantly inferior to Russian troops in manpower and military hardware, Ukraine’s General Staff admitted.
Ukrainian commanders of various levels have been lately describing the frontline situation as very complex. Ukrainian Army Commander-in-Chief Alexander Syrsky said in a phone talk with Chief of the UK Defense Staff Admiral Tony Radakin on December 19 that the situation remained "extremely tense" on the front.
Earlier, Ukraine’s General Staff confirmed the information published in the British newspaper The Guardian that the Ukrainian military command had handed down an order to air defense troops "to free up more men to send to the front as infantry."
As the paper reported, the situation has reached a critical level and can affect the ability of Ukrainian air defenses to function properly. In particular, some personnel who have been trained in the West and have real air defense skills have been sent to the front to fight.
