CSTO to keep boosting its military potential next year — chief
Joint exercises aimed are another important aspect of the effort to boost the organization’s defense potential, Imangali Tasmagambetov said
MOSCOW, December 25. /TASS/. The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) has actively procured modern weaponry for its militaries this year, and will continue boosting its defense potential in the future, the organization’s Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov said.
"The CSTO has been actively working to boost the organization’s military potential," he said in an article, published by the National Defense magazine. "The outgoing year saw active work aimed at providing the CSTO rapid response force with modern weapons, as well as military and special equipment."
Joint exercises aimed at raising combat readiness of the Collective force are another important aspect of the effort to boost the organization’s defense potential, Tasmagambetov added. He cited the strategic command-and-staff exercise held earlier this year as a successful example of it.
