Initiative along entire frontline in Russian forces’ hands — Polish general
According to Waldemar Skrzypczak, Russian troops' daily advances amount to 1-2 kilometers (0.6-1.2 miles)
MOSCOW, December 24. /TASS/. The Russian Armed Forces hold the initiative on the entirety of the frontline with Ukraine, with Russian troops having the strategic advantage, former Commander of the Polish Land Forces Waldemar Skrzypczak told the TOK FM radio station in an interview.
"Russians have the strategic advantage; they hold the initiative along the entire frontline, delivering strikes in several areas simultaneously," he said.
"Currently, [Russian troops] daily advances amount to 1-2 kilometers (0.6-1.2 miles), while one year ago they were 200-300 meters (0.12-0.19 miles)," the retired general recalled.
According to him, "a lot of [military] activities have moved into airspace, the drone war, and both sides have great potential there," the general concluded.
Waldemar Skrzypczak started his military career in 1980 as a second lieutenant. In 2000, he was promoted to a brigadier general. From 2006 to 2009, he was the commander of the Polish Land Forces. In 2012, he became deputy minister of defense, responsible for armament and modernization.
