Nine people detained in West Bank on suspicion of terrorism — Israeli army

All the detainees were handed over to Israeli security services for further investigations

TEL AVIV, December 23. /TASS/. Nine people have been detained in the West Bank on suspicion of being involved in terrorist activities, the Israeli army said.

According to the military, the detentions took place during the raids that the army carried out together with border police and intelligence agencies in various West Bank areas last night. Weapons and ammunition were seized from those detained.

All the detainees were handed over to Israeli security services for further investigations.

The Israeli army stated earlier that over 6,000 suspected terrorists had been apprehended in the West Bank since the escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on October 7, 2023. More than 2,350 of them are suspected of links to the Gaza-based radical Palestinian movement Hamas.
