BERLIN, December 19. /TASS/. Sanctions should not be an objective in themselves, but the EU can use them as a tool in future talks with Russia, Austrian Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Schallenberg said in an interview with Die Presse newspaper.
"Sanctions should never be an end in themselves," said the diplomat.
Restrictions can be used as a lever in future negotiations with Moscow, he added.
