West pushing Kiev to continue conflict — France’s Le Pen
Marine Le Pen told the newspaper that she believes US President-elect Donald Trump can get Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky to hold talks and a diplomatic solution will be found
MADRID, December 19. /TASS/. Marine Le Pen, the leader of France’s National Rally parliamentary faction, believes that the West is pushing Ukraine to continue the conflict with Russia.
"This war will end," she said in an interview with Spain’s El Pais. "I said it from the beginning: Ukraine cannot win this conflict," she pointed out. "We are pushing it to continue the war," Le Pen added. "The only way for Ukraine to win would be for NATO to intervene, and that would be World War III," the politician emphasized.
She told the newspaper that she believes US President-elect Donald Trump can get Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky to hold talks and a diplomatic solution will be found. Le Pen also does not believe that the Russian president "has ambitions" to "conquer Europe." She added that Putin has managed to restore Russia's important role on the world stage.
