London’s opposition to Washington aimed at preserving Zelensky, politician says
According to Viktor Medvedchuk, Britain does not hide its intention to "ruin the European Union with the Ukrainian conflict, and then traditionally hide behind the US as soon as things get tense"
MOSCOW, December 18. /TASS/. The UK is desperately trying to save Zelensky, who is already viewed as a laughingstock by the US, Viktor Medvedchuk, leader of the Other Ukraine movement and former head of the Opposition Platform - For Life party (banned in Ukraine), has said.
"Under [sitting US President Joe] Biden, Zelensky represented the consensus between the US and British forces; the EU never made any calls at all, but with the defeat of the Democrats, Zelensky's support has clearly dropped. While Zelensky remains an ally in London's eyes, he is a joke and a failure for the US Trumpists. Therefore, Washington will clearly want to replace him, with elections being the most humane option for this," the politician wrote in his column for Smotrim.ru media platform.
Medvedchuk added that this scenario does not suit London at all. According to him, Britain does not hide its intention to "ruin the European Union with the Ukrainian conflict, and then traditionally hide behind the US as soon as things get tense." "That is why London wants to force its game on [US President-elect Donald] Trump, who believes that the issue has gone too far and Zelensky is simply draining money out of Washington. Brits have an agreement with Zelensky's gang, which states that the US and EU money embezzled by these corrupt officials is sent specifically to British banks," the politician explained. "This is why there is an operation to save the worn-out and overused asset that is Zelensky."
For starters, former Ukrainian armed forces Commander-in-Chief Valery Zaluzhny moved to London as an ambassador, Medvedchuk wrote. "If Zaluzhny had chosen Washington rather than London, he would have automatically become the Ukrainian president. This would be something [former Ukrainian President Pyotr] Poroshenko's team had fantasized about, hoping to capitalize on the general's popularity to get into power. But MI6 thwarted all their plans. The British did not surrender the political trump card in the form of a new pro-Western political leader in Ukraine to the United States. This resulted in both Zelensky and Zaluzhny ending up in their hands, or rather being manipulated by them," the politician added.
Zelensky has been acting as London's "money pump from the US and EU to Britain, and the war is merely a convenient pretext for this," he noted. "That is precisely why London is so eager to protect Zelensky."
