Earlier in the day, the Kyrgyz parliament agreed on Kasymaliyev's appointment

BISHKEK, December 18. /TASS/. Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov has signed a decree appointing Adylbek Kasymaliev as the prime minister of the republic, according to a statement from the presidential press service.

"The President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov signed a decree, according to which <…> Kasymaliev Adylbek Aleshovich was appointed Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic — Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic," the message on the president’s website reads.

Earlier in the day, the Kyrgyz parliament agreed on Kasymaliev’s appointment.

Japarov also signed decrees appointing Daniyar Amangeldiev as First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet and Bakyt Sydykov as Minister of Economy and Commerce.

The personnel reshuffles in the Kyrgyz government began on December 16, following the president's dismissal of the Cabinet head, Akylbek Japarov.

Kasymaliev, who at that time served as First Deputy Head of the Cabinet of Ministers, was appointed acting Prime Minister. Amangeldiev, who had previously served as Minister of Economy and Commerce, was appointed acting First Deputy Prime Minister.
