NEW YORK, December 13. /TASS/. US President-elect Donald Trump's team held talks with US and Ukrainian officials as part of efforts to ending the conflict in Ukraine, NBC News reported, citing sources.
Trump’s advisers and cabinet nominees have yet to present a specific settlement plan, according to the report.
"Trump is really serious about wanting to get to a ceasefire on day one," one source told the television channel.
US President Joe Biden’s national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, held several conversations with his successor Mike Waltz, according to the report. They focused on sharing relevant information, but did not explore strategies for ending the conflict or establishing a ceasefire.
Trump earlier said in an interview with France’s Paris Match magazine that he considered a settlement of the conflict in Ukraine to be his priority.
