World heading towards major changes, says Hungarian PM
According to Viktor Orban, these changes will impact the entire Western civilization as they "will take a long time in historical terms, leading from war to peace"
BUDAPEST, December 13. /TASS/. The entire world is heading towards significant changes, which will largely stem from US President-elect Donald Trump taking office, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban stated.
"The world is facing far bigger changes than we think," he told the Kossuth radio station. According to Orban, these changes will impact the entire Western civilization as they "will take a long time in historical terms, leading from war to peace."
"I have talked with the Americans, the Russians, the Europeans, and the Turks, and I can say with confidence that after the US president-elect takes office, the world will undergo a profound shift," Orban asserted. In his view, as soon as Trump returns to the White House after the January 20 inauguration, "there will be a dramatic shift in the course of events across the entire Western world, which will unfold before our very eyes."
The Hungarian government has repeatedly stated that it was looking forward to Trump returning to power in the US, anticipating he would help resolve the conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East. During his presidential campaign, the Republican candidate announced plans to address those issues after he assumed office.
