TUNIS, December 12. /TASS/. The Cairo Platform of the Syrian opposition will participate in drafting Syria’s new constitution, the platform’s coordinator and a member of the Syrian Constitutional Committee and the High Committee on Negotiations Firas al-Khalidi has told TASS.
"We should participate in drafting the new constitution in order to implement UN Security Council Resolution 2254, which serves as a foundation for streamlining the political process in Syria, and which recognizes the Cairo Platform as a representative of the people of Syria," he said.
"The platform cannot help but fulfill its function," he added.
