Taliban minister for refugees killed in terrorist attack in Afghanistan

DOHA, December 11. /TASS/. Khalil Ur-Rahman Haqqani, the minister for refugees in the Afghan cabinet, which was formed by Taliban (banned in Russia), was killed in a terrorist attack outside a mosque in Kabul, according to a post on the account of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan on X.
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is the name of the country that is used by the Taliban.
"Reports are being confirmed that Khalil Ur-Rahman Haqqani, minister for refugees of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, was killed today in a suicide bombing attack," the statement said.
The attack happened as the Taliban government official was leaving a mosque near his office in Kabul.
Al Jazeera earlier reported, citing a source, that Khalil Ur-Rahman Haqqani was killed in an explosion that took place at the ministry in the center of Kabul. Later, the Afghan television channel Ariana News also reported, citing sources, that the minister was killed, and said the attack was carried out by a suicide bomber.
Khalil Ur-Rahman Haqqani was appointed as Afghanistan's minister for refugees in September 2021. Khalil Ur-Rahman Haqqani is the nephew of Sirajuddin Haqqani, who is the leader of the Taliban-affiliated Haqqani Network. The group is accused of carrying out numerous terrorist attacks inside Afghanistan.
