Syrian opposition says is working to form interim power body
The coalition also pledged that it wants "to build strategic partnership with countries in the region"
RABAT, December 8. /TASS/. The National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces has said that it is working on forming a transitional power body.
"The National Coalition confirms that it is working to form an interim power body involving all national forces without any exceptions to build a free and democratic Syria," it said in a statement posted on its Telegram channel.
The coalition also pledged that it wants "to build strategic partnership with countries in the region and across the globe to build a new Syria for all of its sons - representatives of all ethnic groups and religions."
Syria’s armed opposition units launched a large-scale offensive on government troops in the Aleppo and Idlib governorates on November 27. By December 7, Syrian President Bashar Assad’s opponents had seized several large cities, including Aleppo, Hama, Deir ez-Zor, Daraa, and Homs. On Sunday morning, they entered Damascus and government troops withdrew from the city.
