TUNIS, December 3. /TASS/. Syrian army units in coordination with militias from Arab tribes have repelled an attack by the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Deir ez-Zor, SANA reported.
According to the Syrian news agency, the Kurdish militia launched an offensive in northern Deir ez-Zor Governorate.
On November 27, the Jabhat al-Nusra extremist group (banned in Russia) and its allies carried out a large-scale attack in Aleppo and other localities in northern Syria protected by government troops. On November 30, the command of the Arab republic’s army stated that the military were forced to reorganize their forces to protect the lives of civilians and troops and prepare for a counterattack.
