CAIRO, November 29. /TASS/. At least 70 Palestinians were killed in Israel’s attacks on the settlement of Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza Strip, the the Al-Qahira Al-Ekhbariya television channel said.
The WAFA news agency reported earlier that at least 18 people died after an air raid on a residential house in this city that gave shelter to dosens of refugee families. Local residents tried to evacuate the wounded and the bodies of those killed to a nearest hospital but Israeli forces delivered another strike on the vicinity of the collapsed house. Dozens of wounded are still under the debris.
Tensions flared up again in the Middle East on October 7 after militants from the Gaza Strip-based radical Palestinian group Hamas launched a surprise incursion on Israeli territory, killing many Israeli kibbutz residents living near the Gaza border and abducting more than 240 Israelis, including women, children and the elderly.
