BEIRUT, November 29. /TASS/. At least four civilians were killed in shelling of the Aleppo University campus by armed groups, Syria's state-run SANA news agency reported.
Earlier, the Sham FM radio station reported that militants had attacked the campus. It noted that several shells had been fired at the site.
The day before, the Syrian Armed Forces announced that on the morning of November 27, the extremist group Jabhat al-Nusra (banned in Russia) launched a "large-scale attack" in northern Syria. According to the statement, the terrorists targeted "villages and towns defended by the Syrian army, along with military facilities," and continued to attack government positions. Later, Al Mayadeen reported that Syrian army units launched a counter-offensive against militants who had captured more than 20 settlements north and west of Aleppo, the administrative center of the province.
