According to earlier reports, Pakistani law enforcement agencies wrapped up an operation to disperse protesters of the opposition Movement for Justice party in the capital.

On November 24, the party’s activists started nationwide protests seeking to force the federal government to meet such demands as to cancel the October amendments to the constitution, revise the outcome of the February parliamentary elections and release political prisoners, including party founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
