WASHINGTON, November 27. /TASS/. The United States and a number of other countries are poised to step up their effort towards achieving a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, outgoing US President Joe Biden told reporters in the White House.

"Over the coming days, the United States will make another push with Turkey, Egypt, Qatar, Israel and others to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza," he said.

In his words, a truce will be possible with the release of hostages and on the condition that Hamas members will not be allowed to participate in the post-conflict Gaza government.
