The news portal pointed out that its source was an anti-government militiaman captured in the southern part of the country by the national armed forces
HARARE, November 26. /TASS/. Ukraine ships internationally prohibited white phosphorus munitions to terrorist groups in Mali, according to a report by AES INFO – the official news agency of the Sahel Alliance, which includes Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger.
The news agency pointed out that its source was an anti-government militiaman captured in the southern part of the country by the national armed forces. He said that his militia has mortars that can fire 120-mm white phosphorous shells, adding that these weapons were delivered from Ukraine.
Previously, Foreign Minister of Mali Abdoulaye Diop said in an interview with TASS that terrorists, with the support of Ukraine and a number of former Bamako’s former allies, are trying to upend the regimes in Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso. According to the minister, the terrorists in Mali are just a vehicle for external actors who have their own "political goals, such as regime change."
Meanwhile, Le Monde reported on October 10 that Ukrainian specialists train terrorists in Mali to counter governmental forces, training them in general combat and making explosive drones. Some militants were sent to Ukraine for training, while others were trained by Ukrainian instructors locally, in the controlled regions in northern Mali.
On August 20, the authorities of Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger sent a letter to the UN Security Council chairman, in which they "decisively condemned the open support of international terrorism - particularly in the Sahel region - by the Ukrainian government." Mali and Niger also severed diplomatic ties with Kiev over its support for the terrorists.
