TUNIS, November 26. /TASS/. A ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon may be declared at 10:00 p.m. Beirut time (8:00 p.m. GMT) on Tuesday, the Al Arabiya television channel said.
According to the TV channel, the ceasefire is expected to come into force in the morning on November 27.
Lebanese acting Foreign Minister Abdallah Rashid Bou Habib said earlier that he hoped that a ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel would come into effect in the early hours on November 27.
According to the Al Jadeed television channel, the ceasefire is expected to been announced by Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati, who, however, refused to confirm these reports, saying that he prefers to refrain from comments.
Lebanon and Israel are holding US-brokered talks on a draft ceasefire agreement providing for a 60-day transition period, during which Israel is to withdraw its troops from southern Lebanon while Lebanese forces are to be deployed to border areas and Hezbollah is to move its heavy weapons and units north of the Litani River, to a distance of 30 kilometers from the border.
