MOSCOW, November 26. /TASS/. Polish experts found traces of trinitrotoluene (TNT) at the site of the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline explosions, the RMF24 radio station reports.
According to the radio station, specialists from the Military University of Technology in Warsaw received water samples from the gas pipeline sabotage area and samples of suspended solids from the sea bottom formed after the explosion for testing. The goal was to determine whether explosive or poisonous substances were present in these samples. Experts did not find traces of chemical weapons but discovered TNT traces in three samples, the radio station said.
Unprecedented damage was recorded on three strings of the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines on September 26, 2022. Moscow has no doubts that the Nord Stream sabotage acts were carried out with backing from the US, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said. The Russian Office of the General Prosecutor initiated international terrorism proceedings.
