At least 120 people killed in Gaza over past two days in Israeli attacks — Health Ministry

CAIRO, November 23. /TASS/. At least 120 Palestinians have been killed and over 200 injured in attacks by Israeli troops in the past two days in the Gaza Strip, the enclave’s Health Ministry said on its Telegram channel.

"Over the past 48 hours, 120 people have been killed and 205 sustained wounds in the Gaza Strip," it said in a report.

According to the ministry, overall, since the onset of the Israeli military operation in the embattled enclave last October, 44,176 Palestinians have been killed with 104,473 wounded.

The situation in the Middle East escalated dramatically when on October 7, 2023, armed Hamas supporters from the Gaza Strip penetrated Israeli territory, killing residents of border settlements and seizing more than 240 hostages. In retaliation, Israel launched a military operation in the enclave in order to destroy the military and political structures of Hamas and liberate all those hostages. The hostilities in the Gaza Strip continue to this day.
