West irrational, fails to understand it cannot intercept Russia's new missiles — Kneissl
The former Austrian foreign minister stressed that she "counted on rational Western decision-makers, but irrationality is unfortunately on the rise among them"
MOSCOW, November 22. /TASS/. Western politicians should realize that their defense systems are incapable of intercepting Russia's new hypersonic missiles, Karin Kneissl, former Austrian foreign minister and head the Geopolitical Observatory for Russia’s Key Issues (GORKI), a research center at St. Petersburg State University, said.
"The Western press coverage of yesterday's use of a supersonic missile by Russia in response to NATO's provocation is mind-boggling: the bottom line is that all that matters are the warheads, and as long as they are not nuclear, they don't care," Kneissl wrote on her Telegram channel. "What is crucial is the fact that this type of missile cannot be intercepted by existing defense shields, see the TASS article," she emphasized, attaching a link to an earlier TASS publication that the US and the West cannot intercept Russia's new hypersonic missiles.
"Until some years ago, I counted on rational Western decision-makers, but irrationality is unfortunately on the rise among them," Kneissl emphasized. "It seems they don't understand what is happening and what might happen," she added.
