Iran begins installation of three new generations of centrifuges to enrich uranium — TV
The decision was reportedly made in response to the anti-Iran resolution of the International Atomic Energy Agency
DUBAI, November 22. /TASS/. Iran has started installing three new-generation gas centrifuges for separating uranium isotopes at its nuclear facilities, which will allow it to significantly increase its stockpile of enriched nuclear fuel, the SNN TV channel reported.
According to its information, the decision was made in response to the anti-Iran resolution of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Board of Governors.
On November 21, the IAEA Board of Governors adopted a resolution proposed by the European troika (the UK, Germany and France) criticizing Iran for allegedly insufficient cooperation with the organization. According to the document, the IAEA should prepare a detailed report on Iran's nuclear program by the spring of 2025. Nineteen votes were cast in favor of the resolution, Russia, Burkina Faso, and China opposed it, and 12 countries abstained.
On November 16, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned that Tehran would accelerate the development of its nuclear program if the IAEA adopted the anti-Iran resolution.
