ISTANBUL, November 21. /TASS/. The International Criminal Court’s ruling to issue arrest warrants for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for their alleged crimes against humanity is a verdict made on behalf of all mankind, thus holding them accountable for genocide, says Omer Celik, spokesman of Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party.

"The ICC’s decision to issue arrest warrants for Prime Minister Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Gallant is a verdict made on behalf of all mankind. These two individuals will ultimately be made to pay for genocide," the spokesman of Turkish President Erdogan’s party said on his X page.

Previously, the media reported that the International Criminal Court had issued an arrest warrant for former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for presumed war crimes and crimes against humanity committed between October 8, 2023, and May 20, 2024, in Palestine, including in the Gaza Strip. According to the ICC’s Pre-Trial Chamber both of them are responsible for such crimes as murder, persecution and other inhumane acts, as well as intentionally starving civilians as a means of warfare.
