Attack in northwestern Pakistan kills at least 40 people

ISLAMABAD, November 21. /TASS/. Unidentified attackers ambushed a convoy in the Kurram district of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northwestern Pakistan, killing at least 38 people, according to the Geo TV channel.
The report stated that the attackers shelled the convoy, which was traveling towards Peshawar, the provincial administrative center, for over an hour. Among the victims are a woman and a child, while the injured have been hospitalized.

Clashes between various tribes and parties have been taking place in the region for several months, leading to disruptions, including the blockage of key roads connecting Pakistan and Afghanistan.
