Trump's new presidency will be fundamentally different from his first — expert in the US
"It is therefore reasonable to expect him to govern for the next four years in a more emboldened, assertive way, and many of his outsider cabinet picks are indicative of precisely that kind of approach," the analyst believes
WASHINGTON, November 21. /TASS/. Donald Trump's second term as US President will be fundamentally different from the first one, a US expert who asked not to be named, told a TASS correspondent.
"Trump 47 (as the 47th President - TASS) is not running for re-election, has a stronger mandate than Trump 45 (as the 45th President - TASS) due to his wide margin of victory, and successfully consolidated most of the Republican party base around his America First framework," the political analyst said.
By Trump's lack of re-election potential, he meant the fact that, in accordance with the provisions of the US Constitution, the politician can no longer aspire to the highest state office.
"It is therefore reasonable to expect him to govern for the next four years in a more emboldened, assertive way, and many of his outsider cabinet picks are indicative of precisely that kind of approach," the analyst believes. From his point of view, Trump's new tenure in the White House will be "fundamentally different" from his previous one.
Current US President, Democrat Joe Biden, will hand over the presidency to Republican Trump on January 20, 2025. Trump won the US elections on November 5, defeating the candidate from the ruling Democratic Party, Kamala Harris. Trump first served as head of the US administration from 2017 to 2021. He will become the second president in US history to hold the highest state office with a break. Previously, only Grover Cleveland (the 22nd and 24th president in 1885-1889 and in 1893-1897) was able to achieve this. Trump will become the 45th and 47th presidents of the United States.
