MINSK, November 20. /TASS/. An official at the State Security Committee of Belarus said the organization is aware of efforts to prepare terrorist cells in Poland with the support of the Polish special forces unit GROM.

The committee’s investigative department chief, Konstantin Bychek, made the statement in the investigative film called "Devils" that aired on ONT television.

"The committee came in possession of reliable data that some of the members of these formations are undergoing training on the territory of the Republic of Poland with the direct participation of the GROM special forces unit. The Polish authorities were notified about this through the channels of countering international terrorism, but the only response to this, unfortunately, was increased secrecy measures on the part of the participants in these terrorist cells," the official said.

"Polish authorities recommended them to legalize under the guise of airsoft clubs and limit the dissemination of propaganda materials in public domain," Bychek went on to say.

Belarus earlier said that Poland, Lithuania and Ukraine were preparing illegal armed formations that aim to invade Belarus.

"The committee analyzed and summarized all the data indicating terrorist activity, as a result of which the Supreme Court ruled to designate these cells a terrorist organization," the security official said. "In this regard, certain government agencies of the Republic of Poland, as well as Lithuania, should take note that their activities could be qualified as aiding and abetting terrorism.".
