Unprecedented Western informational pressure on Russia, former Austrian minister says

MOSCOW, November 20. /TASS/. Russia is being subjected to the most severe and irrational informational aggression from the West, compared to Qatar and Iran, says Karin Kneissl, former Foreign Minister of Austria and head of the GORKI Center at St. Petersburg State University.
Speaking at the "Dialogue about Fake News" forum, the former minister pointed out a number of informational campaigns that were initiated globally, highlighting events in Qatar and Iran; however, in her view, the Western pressure on Russia is much more aggressive.
"Various sanctions are being imposed on Iran by Europe. […] But we see that the hatred towards Russia is much deeper, much more irrational," she emphasized.
"If we draw parallels between Iran, Qatar, and Russia today, the things that happen with Russia are unique. These things go much further than what happened to Qatar or Iran since 1979. I used to travel to Iran regularly for 15 years; it was not easy, I used to teach there. But there have never been any attacks on me because of it," Kneissl said. "Among all the things I have been accused of in the past five years, the worst thing for the West was the fact that I made comments for [Russia’s] RT channel, which was very strange for me."
The event was organized by the "Dialog Regions" non-profit, which focuses on the development of digital projects in public relations and communications. TASS is the event’s strategic partner.
