EU countries trained over 65,000 Ukrainian servicemen — Borrell

Earlier, the EU foreign policy chief stated that the EU intends to bring this number to 75,000 by the end of winter

BRUSSELS, November 19. /TASS/. EU countries have already trained more than 65,000 soldiers for Ukraine, EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said upon his arrival at a meeting of defense ministers of the union's states.

"We (the EU - TASS) have trained more than 65,000 Ukrainian soldiers. And, you know, to send a soldier to the battlefield without the adequate training - it’s to send him to die. <…> And all over Europe, Europeans have been training Ukrainian soldiers," he said.

Earlier, Borrell stated that the EU intends to bring this number to 75,000 by the end of winter.
