UK sanctions Russian youth organizations — document
All bank accounts of sanctioned entities and individuals will be frozen if they are found in the UK
LONDON, November 19. /TASS/. The United Kingdom has imposed sanctions on Russian youth patriotic organizations and their leadership, according to the Treasury’s updated sanctions list.
The amended document now includes the All-Russian Young Army Military Patriotic Social Movement (Yunarmia), as well as the Avangard educational and methodological organization providing patriotic education, based in Odintsovo in the Moscow Region. The United Kingdom has also sanctioned Yunarmia's chief of staff, Nikita Nagorny.
Zaporozhye Region Education and Science Minister Yelena Shapurova and Crimean Science and Youth Minister Valentina Labrik were also added to the blacklist. Both are accused of being involved in the Russian government's so-called "program for the forced deportation and re-education of Ukrainian children."
All bank accounts of sanctioned entities and individuals will be frozen if they are found in the UK. People on the blacklist are banned from entering the country.
